NORAD Santa tracker will stay on even if the government shuts down

For over 60 years, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, otherwise called NORAD, and its antecedent, the Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD) have followed Santa's trip far and wide on December 24.

What's more, it will proceed with this year, regardless of whether there's an administration shutdown, the activities focus said Friday in a tweet.

The NORAD Santa tracker is bolstered by approximately 1,500 volunteers who staff phones and PCs to answer calls and messages from youngsters (and grown-ups) from around the globe, as per NORAD.
